z.g period 4 Well I know that a lollipops cost twenty-five cents more than chocolate bar. Well one chocolate bar cost 1.18 and a lollipop cost 1.43 I got this answer because if u take 9.50 divided by two that’s brings you down to one chocolate bar and one lollipop so if you divided by two again you get the cost of the chocolate bar and three lollipop and one chocolate bar is 9.75 that tells you that a lollipop cost 25 cents more than a lollipop.

How did you find the cost of one lollipop and the cost of one chocolate bar?
I found the cost of the lollipop and chocolate bar by simply taking the original price of 9.50 and dividing it by four which is the amount of product given, and because a direct price of a chocolate bar was the question, it would be the only outcome that made sense. I found the price of the lollipop by just knowing it would be the same thing.
To check my answer I did; $2.44x4 which was $9.75.

Question- how much is a chocolate bar?

Answer- the chocolate bar is 2.44
I figured this out by dividing 4 by 9.75 and got my answer first I tried to divide the # of chocolate bars there were but that didn’t work so then I tried by 4 because that is how many candies there are in all

Question- how much is one lollipop?

Answer- the lollipop is 2.38
I figured this out by dividing 4 by 9.50 and got my answer. First I tried the same thing that I did with the candy bars by dividing it by how many lollipops there were and that wasn’t right so I tried 4 because that is the total # of candies there is in that problem

For three lollipop and one choc. Bar its 9.75 divided by 3 means that a choc. Bar is 3.25. So for two choc. And two lollipop are 9.50 divide by two and you get for two lollipop are 4.75 so for one lollipop is 2.37 z.g period 4

For two chocolate bars and two lollipops at $9.50 one chocolate bar cost $2.38 and one lollipop cost $2.38.

To get the answers for both problems I took the total cost for all the candy and divided it by four because there were four pieces of candy in each one.

How much is one chocolate bar?

If both the lollypop and the chocolate bar cost the same then we do the problem of 4 divided by 9.75 you get the answer as $2.44 per candy. I took the 4 as the divider because three lollypop + chocolate bar= 4.

For the second one two chocolate bars and two lollypops, the cost is going to be $9.50. Each candy bar is going 2chocolate bars+ 2 lollypops= 4divided by $9.50=$2.39 per candy.

How much is one lollipop?

How much is one chocolate bar? $4.875

How much is one lollipop? $ 1.625

How did you find the cost of one lollipop and the cost of one chocolate bar?
Okay so I took the total cost which is $975 I divided that by two because there are two different items. So 9.75 divided by two is 4.875 and I took that as the chocolate bar price. That’s because it is one item
Now the other half of the money which is again 4.875 I divided that by three because there are three lollipops. That gave me 1.625 . after doing all that I added them up all together and I got 9.75

Two chocolate bars and two lollipops are $9.50.

For one chocolate bar it is $4.50

For one lollipop it is $0.25

I found the cost by figuring out that when you buy one chocolate bar and three lollipops and someone else buys two chocolate bars and two lollipops there is a change between $0.25. So the lollipops would be $0.25. This would be for the lollipop. I found the cost of chocolate bars by when I found the cost of the lollipop, I subtracted the cost. Then I found how much two chocolate bars cost. Which is $9 for two? Then I divided nine by two and I got $4.50

1. The cost of a chocolate bar is 2.25.

2. The cost of a lollipop is 2.50.

3. I found the cost of the chocolate by putting in numbers for each problem, at first I had the costs mixed up, I knew this because when I put in the cost for one it worked but the other it didn’t but when I switched the cost of the chocolate to the cost of the lollipops they both went in evenly. It was difficult because I thought the candy bar would cost more. It was pretty much guess and check.

Proof: #1 2.25 + 2.50 + 2.50 + 2.50 = 9.75

#2 2.50 + 2.50+ 2.25 + 2.25 = 9.50

Anonymous said...

v.v.

1.) In the first question I first divided $9.75 by 2, because there were two types of candies. Than I got 4.875 as in answer, but that only gave me the price for only two candies. So then I divided 4.875 by 3 to get 1.625.Once I got that I multiplied 1.625 by 3 and then got 4.875 then I added 4.875 to get 9.75.
So one chocolate bar was cost $4.875 &
Three lollipops are $1.625.

If both the lollypop and the chocolate bar cost the same then we do the problem of 4 divided by 9.75 you get the answer as $2.42 per candy. I took the 4 as the divider because three lollypop + chocolate bar= 4.

Costly Candy (T.B.)

1 chocolate bars / 3 lollipops is 9.75
2 chocolate bars / 2 lollipops is 9.50

Lollipops 2.25 each

For 1 chocolate bar the cost is 2.50 and 1 lollipop the cost is 2.25 for the total price of 9.75.
The problem: 2.50*1 is 2.50. 2.25*3 is 6.75. 6.75 + 2.50= 9.75

For 2 chocolate bars the cost is 5.00 because the cost is 2.50 for each chocolate bar.
For 2 lollipops the cost is 4.50 because the price for 1 lollipop is 2.25.
The problem: 5.00 + 4.50 = 9.50

I found the cost by guessing. My guess was 1.50 for the chocolate bar and 2.50 for the lollipops. So I did 1.50*2=3.00. 2.50*2= 5.00. Then I added 5.00+3.00 and it was 8.00.
So that was too little. Then I guessed again. My guess was 2.50 (chocolate) and 2.25 (lollipops)
The problem I tried was: 2.25 * 3 = 6.75. 2.50 * 1=2.50

225+225+250+250= 950

Two lollipops and two candy bars

250+225+225+225= 925

225-lolliopops

250-candy bars

I found the cost of the lollipops but trying out quarters (25 cents) and dollar bills, I tried out three and that didn’t get me anywhere close to my wanted answer, then I just went down to two and I first saw that I was getting close to the answer ( two lollipops and two candy bars ) with the lollipops, so I made the price a quarter higher with the candy bars ( 225+225=450 )-[225+225+250+250=950] that’s how I got that answer. But when I tried the same method for the second question, I was pretty close, just 50 cents off.

1. One chocolate bar is $2.44. $9.75 divided by 4 equals 2.437 or rounded off to $2.44.
2. One lollipop is $2.31 because 2.44 times 2 equals 4.88, then $9.50 - 4.88 = 4.62 divided by 2 equals $2.31.
3. I got $2.44 for one chocolate bar by dividing the total ($9.75) by how many objects were bought (4), and then I rounded.
I got $2.31 for the lollipop by multiplying the cost of a candy bar ($2.44) by 2 (because there were two chocolate bars bought on the second time.), then I subtracted the product (4.88) from the total cost of the second purchase (9.50) which was 4.62 then I divided that by 2 (because $4.62 is the cost of two lollipops), which equaled $2.31.
